In Destiny 2 there is a powerful weapon whose potential has remained undiscovered so far. We are talking about the “Comedian”. How to get the weapon and in which build it can unleash its true power will be explained here on MeinMMO.
What kind of weapon is that? This is the strike shotgun known from Destiny 1 called “The Comedian”. The Void shotgun in the special slot is rarely equipped by Guardians, and it is an exception if it should be used.
But what many don’t know: The weapon with the right rolls and in the right build will turn you into a killing machine. You will not lack either ammunition or health, as your humorous friend will handle the rest – you just need to keep getting kills.
Infinite ammunition and fast super regeneration
What makes the weapon strong? The Comedian is stronger in impact compared to the Fractethyst, but that is not its strength. It’s the right perks and the Adept version, paired with the right mods, that make it stand out.
What roll should I look out for? The Comedian is the only shotgun in the special slot with the perk “Outlaw”. Since the Season of the Splicer, this perk has been modified so that the ammunition in the reserves is only partially pulled into the magazine. Paired with the perk “Rampage,” you also automatically generate more super energy with your kills.
This is what the roll you should be looking for looks like:
- Rifled barrel – Enhanced rounds (or) Extended magazine – Outlaw – Rampage
Warlocks become unstoppable killing machines
What does a strong setup look like? To take full advantage of the weapon, you should play as a Warlock. This is especially worthwhile due to the exotic chest armor “Mantle of Battle Harmony”. So if you equip a weapon suited to your element, you gain additional super energy with kills.
Once your super bar is full, you receive bonus damage with your Void shotgun. Provided you also use the Void super of the Warlocks.
In addition, you should equip the bottom tree of the super, as this gives you the effect “Devour” when consuming your grenades or melee kills.
This ensures that with every subsequent kill, your health is regenerated until the buff expires. The good thing about this is that the timer for the effect resets after each kill, so you can maintain this indefinitely, provided you have enough enemies.
The only mods you need for your armor are:
- Heavy-handed (Arc, “Charged with Light” mod) – The mod is used for the secondary effect, which gives you ammo in reserves when you are surrounded by enemies and kill them with the shotgun.
- Charge Up (Neutral, Charged with Light mod) – Gain charge with Light when collecting orbs of Light.
- Energy Converter (Void, “Charged with Light” mod) – When you use your grenade, all stacks of Light are consumed, and you receive super energy back in return.
How do I get the weapon? The shotgun can be farmed in the Nightfall. However, if you want to own the Adept version, you should visit the Grandmaster Nightfall. You even have time from January 11 to January 18 to secure one of these comedians.
What do you think of such builds? Do you find such a guide helpful and will you recreate it? Or do you not believe in it and prefer to use other weapons and builds? Let us know in the comments how you feel about it.
