For many fans of World of Warcraft Classic, this news is certainly a heavy blow: Classic will not offer German realms.
World of Warcraft Classic is coming closer, as the release will take place in August. All interested parties can once again play “Classic” and experience the gameplay from nearly 15 years ago. However, there is a catch that is disappointing for fans: There will be no German realms. Instead, most Classic realms will be mixed.
What has been said? In the official forum, community manager Toschayju spoke and explained what realm structure there will be. He reveals that they have decided not to divide the realms by language in WoW Classic. However, there will still be PvP, PvE, and RP realms. The only exception is Russian servers, which use the Cyrillic alphabet and therefore must use their own game client.
Furthermore, it is stated:
We believe this approach gives players the opportunity to move freely and find guilds and friends who share their interests.
A rain of criticism: The announcement was not well received by players. In the official forum, criticism is pouring in, and many fans even say that their interest in Classic has directly faded away.

This goes against one of the main reasons for Classic (the community within a realm)! You can’t be serious, Blizz?

With a babylonian language confusion, the tightly connected server communities that I consider the great strength of WoW Classic are weakened. I am not a fan of this decision.
Particularly roleplayers are upset: There is much criticism from players in the comments, but especially roleplayers stand out. While it is not 100% important for most content to understand fellow players exactly, roleplayers rely on clear communication and understanding.
A large part of the RP experience is that players share a language and can communicate with each other. If some players use German, others use French or English, RP is practically impossible.
