Ubisoft announced a third installment to the “The Division” series last week in a blog post. There were no real details regarding gameplay or release, but many fans of the series are still happy about the announcement.
In a rather unremarkable blog post, Ubisoft announced Julian Gerighty as Executive Producer for the The-Division brand, and within the post, The Division 3 is also announced. Gerighty is currently working on Star Wars Outlaws and is the Creative Director on the Star Wars
-Open World.
Accordingly, we will have to wait a long time for The Division 3. However, fans do not seem to mind, as many on reddit are excited about the announcement and are happy that Ubisoft wants to grant the brand a new installment.

That’s kind of crazy and very surprising. I thought Ubisoft had already given up on making a real sequel and was just focusing on Heartland and Resurgence.
On reddit, the voices seem to be really positive, and many players are happy that the brand will receive a major installment in the future alongside the smaller projects. However, not all players are completely thrilled. Under our news about the announcement of The Division 3, there are also skeptical voices who do not trust Ubisoft.

Ubisoft’s concept. AC, FC, TD, GR… 90% of the titles are based on that, and it will be no different with TD3. They had their chance for almost 10 years.

Part 1 was okay. Part 2 flopped, and 3 will be a mega flop. If they really want to raise quality standards again, they could or should have done that long ago with Division 2.

Alongside the pleasant announcement, one should nonetheless bring a certain amount of skepticism. In the past, Ubisoft has often had problems with many of their old and new brands.
