The big companies in the gaming scene are also aware of the current insane success of Pokémon GO. The CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, was asked at the Financial Conference for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2016-2017 how he assesses the success of Nintendo’s Pokémon GO.
Guillemot revealed that everyone at Ubisoft is “very impressed” with what Nintendo has achieved with their new mobile title. Immediately after, he seized the opportunity to tease a game from Ubisoft:
According to the CEO, an augmented reality game is currently in development at Ubisoft. However, he admits that it is not exactly the same type of game as Pokémon GO. In addition, this game will not be released anytime soon.
