But one of the founders behind the giant network, Jack Dorsey, regrets the development of Twitter. Because the social network is partly responsible for all internet data being held by just a handful of companies. And he feels partly to blame for that.
Founder regrets the creation of Twitter
What exactly does he say? Jack Dorsey announced his exit from Twitter at the end of December. In a tweet on April 2, he explained that there have been many exciting developments and achievements on the internet in the past.
However, the fact that today all data is centrally collected by a handful of companies does not please him, and he feels partly responsible for it. He writes in his tweet on April 2:
The days of usenet, irc, the web… even email (with PGP)… were amazing. The centralization of discovery and identity [of people] in companies has really harmed the internet.
I am aware that I am partly to blame, and I regret it.

What does this have to do with Twitter? Twitter is an example of the centralization of data and information. Thus, Twitter is a popular source of information and news, and well-known leaks or announcements are spread via Twitter.
