Like many other content creators, the German Twitch streamer Mcky has already dived into the new trailer for GTA 6. However, one small detail dampens the hype: the release date.
After 10 years of waiting, the official trailer for GTA 6 is finally here. In the hours since the unexpected release of the one-and-a-half-minute trailer, numerous content creators have already reacted to this first impression of GTA 6.
Among them is also MckyTV, who is one of the most-watched German streamers of the predecessor GTA 5 and is particularly active in the RP scene (via sullygnome). Together with his Twitch colleague Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler, he launched his own role-playing server in 2022, which also welcomed viewers.
While the trailer makes Mcky excited about the game, the long wait until the release seems to dampen the anticipation. For the streamer, the release of GTA 6 is one of the two things he wants to “experience in [his] lifetime”.
Mcky does not believe in an early release
What does Mcky have to say? The streamer couldn’t resist jumping straight into the reaction as soon as he learned that Rockstar had released the trailer early. It didn’t stop at just the first viewing either. After watching the trailer in its entirety, he went into more detail.
The streamer’s conclusion: “It looks very, very creamy.” In particular, the setting with palm trees and beach captivated Mcky. And the song is also a hit for him, as the streamer joyfully rocks along. The only point of criticism: They could have shown a bit more.
Only the release scheduled for 2025 somewhat dampens the mood.

What suspicion does Mcky have? Mcky suspects that the release of GTA 6 will not take place until the end of 2025. He does not believe that it could start as early as January: The game is likely to be released in a way that it can be under the Christmas tree, according to the streamer.
He suspects that GTA 6 will be released in November or December 2025 – in time for Black Friday or Christmas. His only hope is that they can quickly start role-playing then, Mcky elaborates.
The streamer would prefer to quickly play through the story and then dive straight into the online mode and the RP. However, he fears that it could take another 2 years after the release before that happens – RP wouldn’t come until 2027.
At least, there will surely be many trailers coming out before the release that can help bridge the long wait, Mcky points out.
By the way, the other thing that Mcky wants to experience alongside the release of GTA 6 is the end of the anime long-runner One Piece. The streamer is a huge fan of the series and even wants to draw inspiration for his legacy from the legendary pirate king Gol D. Roger.
What arrives first, the end of One Piece or the release of GTA 6, remains to be seen.
