While many Twitch streamers regularly struggle with the pitfalls of their internet providers, well-known streamer Trymacs reports an extraordinary treatment by Telekom that he can hardly believe himself.
Who is Trymacs? Maximilian Stemmler, better known by his online pseudonym Trymacs, is considered one of the biggest names on the German streaming platform Twitch. Since the beginning of his career, he has mainly made a name for himself through mobile games by Supercell, such as Clash of Clans and Clash Royale.
The Hamburger is known for regularly planning large projects where he invites other streamers. One example is a recently launched fitness challenge, where he and his colleagues try to become more athletic again.

What status does the streamer enjoy? In one of his recent streams, Trymacs talks about a surprising experience with Telekom. He recalls that he called Telekom some time ago. To his surprise, he was immediately assigned a personal contact. “I have my own advisor, I can always call her,” he says proudly.
This special treatment is completely new to him, and he cannot explain why he suddenly enjoys VIP status. “I have never worked with Telekom before,” he emphasizes.
Curious as he is, Trymacs asks Telekom why he is classified as a VIP. However, even there they cannot give him a clear answer. His only explanation is that someone must have put him on a VIP list.

Trymacs himself does not know how he was admitted to Telekom’s VIP program, and there are no clear indications on the internet regarding the existence or joining of such a program. It remains unclear whether he is referring to Magenta Moments or if there is a “secret” program for this VIP status.
However, according to the community, there are some indications on how to become a VIP with an internet provider. Customers who are particularly loyal, spend a lot, or have a high public presence are often automatically elevated to this status.
The VIP status likely comes with numerous advantages: prioritized and faster customer service, exclusive offers and discounts, early access to new products and services, and dedicated contacts available for issues and questions.

But the benefits do not stop here. Trymacs tells another anecdote that underlines his special treatment by Telekom. When his girlfriend calls Telekom to get information about Magenta TV for the soccer EM, they receive a surprising offer. “We got 2 years of Magenta TV for free,” he says, laughing.
For Trymacs, the reason for his preferential treatment by Telekom remains a mystery. But while other streamers continue to struggle with technical issues and the customer service of their internet providers, Trymacs can enjoy this unexpected luxury.
