The viewer TwoBreaths donated an extremely high amount of money to a Vtuber on Twitch during a stream. The response to such a high donation was different than one might expect.
The VR Chat area of Twitch is known for various types of channels and videos. A smaller channel with just around 6000 followers recently received a huge gift from a viewer.
What kind of channel is this? Vtuber AeriytheNeko is a Twitch channel where several animated cat girls dance in revealing outfits and interact with viewers (via Twitch). Viewers can follow them using a VR headset and are consequently ‘closer’ to the action than watching normally on Twitch.
However, they remain silent. In their channel description, AeriytheNeko describes themselves as a “silent cat, on the hunt for head pats.” The whole setup reminds one a bit of the succubus that helped streamer sodapoppin to his ban.
This is what happened: During a stream, the viewer TwoBreaths donated an incredible $200,000, in the form of several donations. The first donation was for $100,000, followed by four more donations of $25,000 each. However, AeriytheNeko was not impressed; on the contrary: they didn’t even react to the donation and continued to dance very professionally.
You can see the whole thing in the clip:
Despite the lack of reaction, this must be a huge chunk of money for the channel. Because at this moment, it has just 5778 subscribers (as of June 30).
And this is not the only huge donation from TwoBreaths. MurderCrumpet also received a ton of cash.
Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars to Vtuber – Is That Even Possible?
How much money did TwoBreaths donate to MurderCrumpet? This Vtuber received around $50,000 from TwoBreaths. In contrast to AeriytheNeko, MurderCrumpet could hardly believe their luck, as you can see in the clip where a partial donation of $10,000 comes in:
The generosity of TwoBreaths also attracted the attention of other people, some even doubted that the donations were real.
Why do they doubt this? The clip of AeriytheNeko ended up on Reddit and sparked skepticism among some people regarding TwoBreaths. (via reddit.com)
One user asks how this donation of $100,000 could even happen. There are restrictions on certain amounts through PayPal.
It remains unclear whether these were real transactions or not. However, it would not be the first time that viewers on Twitch donated incredible amounts: Man streams to 2 viewers on Twitch, earns €70,000 in a magical night
