The Spanish streamer Ibai still holds the record of 3.3 million viewers on Twitch. He now admits in an interview that he actually doesn’t like video games, but rather E-Sports.
Who is the streamer? Ibai Llanos now has over 13 million followers on Twitch. He has built a certain audience by streaming League of Legends, but then largely moved away from gaming and focused on E-Sports and entertainment.
Among other things, he organized and streamed a boxing event, during which he broke the viewer record on Twitch.

Ibai is about competition
Why doesn’t he like video games? In an interview, Ibai admitted that he doesn’t actually like video games, but rather enjoys E-Sports (via 3DJuegos). Although he still streams games like LoL and Minecraft on Twitch, he is more active in the “Just Chatting” category.
Ibai likes the competitive nature of video games, which is why he primarily enjoys multiplayer games like League of Legends or Valorant. He has no interest in games like Bloodborne:
I don’t actually like video games. […] I don’t want to play Bloodborne, even if someone would pay me for it. In fact, I don’t accept collaborations for video games. I used to do some with certain horror games, something I thought could be fun, but I don’t like video games. I like E-Sports. I played Call of Duty, I competed in Call of Duty; I played LoL and commented on LoL. Because I like E-Sports, not video games.

Ibai noted in the interview that there are many streamers on Twitch who are very good in Just Chatting but aren’t particularly talented in video games. Nevertheless, they create good content. And he also records great successes in the popular “Just Chatting” category.
He plans more streaming events. With the boxing event “La Velada Del Año” he broke two viewer records. The third will take place on July 1 in Madrid and will of course be broadcast on his Twitch channel.
