The German-speaking area of Twitch is huge and hosts many big names in livestreaming. We give you an overview of the five biggest male streamers every month.
What kind of list is this? Determining the “biggest” and thus probably most successful streamer of a month is not so easy. After all, there are several factors that make a Twitch streamer successful: watch time, viewers, or followers.
We have decided to set the following conditions for the Twitch streamers on our list:
- Average viewer numbers determine the ranking
- Time period is 30 days
- The channel language is German, nationality does not matter
- Commercial and/or event channels are excluded

Rank 5: HandOfBlood

HandOfBlood has been active as a content creator since 2010. His career began on YouTube, where he uploaded tutorials on the games League of Legends and Lord of the Rings Online.
He eventually started producing Let’s Plays for all kinds of video games and was long considered a YouTuber who put an extremely high amount of effort into his videos, for example with costumes and props.
Since early 2025, HandOfBlood has retired from YouTube as his main platform and is now focusing on Twitch. HandOfBlood plays video games on Twitch, but also regularly invites celebrity guests, such as director and actor Michael “Bully” Herbig.

Gronkh is one of the pioneers of the German YouTube and Twitch scene. He gained popularity with his first Let’s Plays on YouTube, where he showcased his enormous worlds built in Minecraft. His humorous and down-to-earth nature has made him a role model for many of today’s YouTubers and Twitch streamers.
From 2014 to 2016, his YouTube channel was the largest in Germany. His Steam account is now so old and valuable that he could buy several PS5s with it.
Finally, Gronkh focused more on livestreaming rather than constantly recording Let’s Plays, allowing him to reach a new audience. Recently, the Let’s Player stood out when he supported his Twitch colleagues in their Minecraft project “Craftattack,” causing many to get nervous.

BastiGHG’s content on Twitch mainly revolves around the game Minecraft. The Twitch streamer’s face is unknown; only his hands on the mouse and keyboard can be seen during his streams.
In his streams, BastiGHG also collaborates regularly with Twitch streamer Papaplatte, whom he recently surprised with an advertisement in Times Square in New York.

Papaplatte is one of the current big names in the German Twitch landscape. He is particularly known for speaking with many anglicisms, for which he has often been teased, including in the show “Duell um die Welt”.
Together with his Twitch colleague and friend Reeze, he has the podcast “Edeltalk,” where they discuss current topics from their lives every week or invite a guest from the YouTube and Twitch scene. Moreover, the two went on a tour together in a motorhome and streamed it live on Twitch.

Furthermore, he is the co-founder of the Baller League, a kind of private football league for Twitch streamers. Here, Twitch streamers can assemble their own teams of influencers and play against each other.
Together with Twitch streamers SidneyEweka and Willy, Elias founded the brand Vitavate. They sell drinks, gum, and muesli.
