Fortnite has had no building since the release of the new Season 2 in Chapter 3. Now that some time has passed, well-known streamers like Ninja and Tfue have had the opportunity to test Fortnite without building, and they are enthusiastic. They are now calling for a permanent mode.
What happened to Fortnite? Since the release of Season 2 on March 20th, Epic has done the unthinkable and disabled building in all modes. Players have therefore received an additional shield and expanded sprinting.
Due to the change, players now have to rethink and try different tactics, as no protective walls can be erected. Most fans, however, do not mind the change and love Fortnite even more without the annoying building.
Now, well-known Twitch streamers like Ninja and Tfue have also had time to thoroughly test Fortnite. They have known the wacky shooter since its beginnings in Chapter 1 and know when something goes wrong. But after a few rounds, both were very much in agreement.
Fortnite should have a permanent mode without building
What do well-known Twitch streamers think about it? Ninja, Tfue, and other content creators like NickEh30 have commented on the changes in Fortnite. Especially Ninja and Tfue have known Fortnite since the early days of the battle royale hype.
They know when something is going well for Fortnite or when Epic should rather backtrack. However, this time both streamers are in agreement. Ninja posted his feelings about the change on Twitter, and it goes as follows:
In doing so, he means that he has had the most fun in Fortnite for years. Tfue also commented on this and believes that Fortnite without building should be a permanent thing.
The voices of the community are gradually becoming clearer, and many players, whether longtime players or returnees, hope for a permanent mode for this. It is unclear whether Epic has disabled the mode only for story reasons or to indirectly conduct a test.
MeinMMO has also given a well-founded opinion on how Fortnite is now without building, which goes as follows:
Fortnite has shown that the shooter does not only score with its distinctive feature (building). You will no longer be expecting a hide-and-seek game with players barricading themselves in huge towers, but rather fights where you have to confront each other.
It now finally depends on shooting skills and tactical play, which is how I have always wanted Fortnite to be. However, I believe that Epic should add two separate modes with and without building instead. Fortnite has become famous for its distinctive feature, and completely banning this characteristic would destroy the character of the BR shooter.
A lot from our opinion and the streamers, now over to you. How do you currently find Fortnite with the disabled building? Do you also think it should be a permanent thing, or do you prefer the old hide-and-seek gameplay? Let us know!
