The German Twitch streamer Trymacs revealed in a conversation with fellow streamer Unge that EA wanted a clarification video from him after he heavily criticized FIFA 23.
Who is Trymacs?
- Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler is one of the biggest German streamers.
- He invested €21,000 in the game at the release of FIFA 23 and briefly had the best and most expensive team in the world.
- Now, however, he is boycotting FIFA and harshly criticizes EA for the gambling mechanics of the game.
Trymacs says he is on EA’s blacklist
What does Trymacs say in the stream? In the conversation with Unge on October 21, 2022, Trymacs talks about the consequences of his criticism of FIFA and especially the gambling mechanics of Ultimate Team. According to Trymacs, he is now on EA’s “blacklist” and has lost any advertising deals with the publisher.
I lost all of EA’s partners for events […] I am completely on the blacklist. So what I do is a thorn in EA’s side […] when I say: It’s child casino, it’s extreme ripping off and all that stuff.

“They demanded that I make a video”
In the course of the conversation, Trymacs explains that EA demanded he make a video about the payment aspects of FIFA 23. According to Trymacs, EA wanted him to explain in a video that Ultimate Team is not pay-to-win, but pay-to-progress.
They demanded that I make a video, and that it’s not pay-to-win, but just pay-to-progress. You can also progress with free-to-play and so on. It’s crazy how much that has pissed EA off.
