Twitch streamer Turner “Tfue” Tenney (22) made headlines over the weekend when he botched a charity event. His fellow streamer and former Fortnite rival Tyler “Ninja” Blevins (28) took the opportunity to criticize his competitor.
This is the event in question: YouTuber “MrBeast” hosted a charity event in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Internet personalities competed against each other in rock-paper-scissors. Streamers Ninja and Tfue were also present.
However, Tfue drew a lot of attention and backlash for accidentally leaking private information from the tournament and MrBeast.
Tfue streams, even though he shouldn’t
This is how the mishap occurred: Tfue, the biggest streamer on Twitch, streamed the tournament live on his own Twitch channel for a while. During this time, he accidentally opened a chat with MrBeast. There, the YouTuber’s phone number and an access code to the private chatroom of all event participants were visible.
As a result, numerous viewers flooded into this chat and spammed it.
This is particularly delicate: As several sources stated, each participant was instructed not to stream. After all, every viewer was supposed to be watching MrBeast’s stream directly to donate.
After the mishap occurred, Tfue quickly shut off the stream and told his fans to switch over to MrBeast’s stream.
Ninja takes aim at Tfue and he strikes back
Here’s what Ninja said about it: The well-known Mixer streamer, Ninja, was also present during the stream and witnessed Tfue’s mistake. He tweeted: “Dude, Tfue leaked the code for the private chat while streaming.”
This is how the great discussion began: However, the situation didn’t end with Ninja’s tweet.
Tfue reacted sensitively to this criticism, even though he admitted his mistake. But the fact that Ninja was the first to attack him didn’t sit well with Tfue.
Tfue struck back and said: “Ninja is a pussy.”
Ninja replied: “We weren’t supposed to stream, Bro! The 50,000 viewers you have should come to the main stream where people can donate for charity.”
Tfue shows remorse: Clearly, the whole situation affected Tfue, as he apologized again to MrBeast and even donated $10,000. Afterwards, he encouraged his fans to donate as well.
Ninja’s wife defends her husband
Here’s what Jessica Blevins said: Ninja’s wife and manager defended her husband on Twitter and painted Tfue in a worse light.
She said: “Yes, Tfue’s leak was a mishap, but it wouldn’t have happened if he had listened to everyone who was told NOT to stream this event and to direct all their viewers to the YouTube main stream to DONATE for charity. Now the event is hacked and will be restarted.”
Tfue then spotted and retweeted a statement that “Ninja sends his wife to fight his battles while Ninja waits for her in bed.”
Tfue and Ninja – A major rivalry
What is behind the feud? Tfue and Ninja have been rivals for a long time. Both are ambitious and have long competed for the same audience. Especially during the time when Ninja was still streaming on Twitch, they were direct competitors in Fortnite.
There is a clear contrast between the two streamers:
- Tfue is an emotional streamer who doesn’t think much about what he says. He’s “unfiltered.” However, Tfue is an outstanding player in Fortnite and significantly younger than Ninja.
- Ninja, on the other hand, is a brand behind which major advertising deals stand. The streamer was previously much more toxic, but has now become calmer and knows how to market himself. Ninja filters what he says out of respect for young viewers.
In 2018, Ninja was the undisputed number one on Twitch. Tfue stood in his shadow and only truly shone in 2019 after Ninja switched to the streaming platform Mixer. Nonetheless, he lacked something in the process.
For years, the rivalry between the two existed but was never really articulated. Ninja acted as if he and Tfue were actually buddies. Tfue said he always had the impression that Ninja simply didn’t like him. The two kept their distance for a long time. This changed in the last few months:

- Ninja seems confused about where this aggressiveness is coming from. But he can’t help himself either. He doesn’t avoid Tfue but rather enjoys commenting on negative things Tfue does.
