The Twitch streamer Kilian “Tanzverbot” Heinrich was on April 2 at the boxing event “The Great Fight Night”, where German livestreamers competed against each other in a boxing match. However, during the event, there was also a confrontation outside the ring between Tanzverbot and a “fan” of his.
How did the confrontation arise? It is not entirely clear. According to Tanzverbot, he was asked by drunk people at the boxing event if he wanted to take a photo with them. The streamer declined.
He was then apparently heckled, kicked, and shoved by the “fans”. Tanzverbot reported this in a tweet two days later.
A “fan” recorded how he asked Heinrich for a photo, which he declined and turned away. The person then insulted Tanzverbot several times. At some point, Heinrich turned back and pushed the “fan”.
After that, the two continued to confront each other, and the escalation was captured on video by an outside person. You can see the video and the clip of the “fan” here on Twitter:
In the clip, you can see how the “fan” was cornered while Tanzverbot pushed him against the fence behind him. He shouted: “Treat me like a normal human (…).”
Additionally, both exchanged various insults before security intervened and separated them.
The community largely stands behind Tanzverbot
What does the community say about the situation? While Tanzverbot notes in his tweet that he is now being criticized, most respondents are people who agree with the streamer and understand his reaction:

Of course, there were also a few people who argued that he shouldn’t stoop to the same “gutter language” and should have just called security directly. Others think it would have been better if Tanzverbot had just walked away from the situation and not let himself be provoked further.
In the end, it seems that no one was injured during the altercation, as security arrived in time.
