The Twitch streamer durpee82 made a bet with his viewers that he actually should have won. More specifically: The probability of his win was 99.69% high.
What kind of luck wheel is that? The Twitch streamer durpee82 is mainly known for playing a lot of Overwatch. In his recent streams, he kept spinning an online luck wheel as part of bets with his viewers.
For the bet with the viewer boonworst, the streamer labeled the online luck wheel with three different possibilities: He will be permanently banned from the Twitch channel, he gets access to the Twitch stream, or he will be flown by durpee82 to BlizzCon.
The twist: Instead of just having these three options, which would have meant a chance of about 33% for each scenario, durpee82 copied the option for the permaban several more times into the online luck wheel.
In fact, he did it so often that there were a total of 322 possible hits for the luck wheel, and the chance for boonworst to get the trip to BlizzCon from durpee82 was only 0.31%.
Twitch streamer must invite viewers to BlizzCon
What happened then? The Twitch streamer durpee82 confidently spun the wheel, certain of winning the bet. But then the luck wheel actually landed on the option for the BlizzCon trip. Durpee82 jumped up and was completely beside himself.
You can watch the stream excerpt here on Reddit:
Durpee82 really wants to keep his bet promise, as he already posted on X the confirmation that he can’t wait to meet the viewer. He also discussed the details directly with the viewer in the stream.
The BlizzCon will take place from September 12 to 13, 2026, in Anaheim, California. This is particularly convenient for the viewer boonworst, as he is already in California. So durpee82 probably doesn’t have to spend on an expensive plane ticket, but mainly has to cover the ticket costs.
There might be an update on the story in September when the BlizzCon takes place. Although not with online luck wheels, the German Twitch streamer Knossi has also tried some other online slots at the start of his breakthrough on Twitch: Knossi became huge on Twitch because he streamed online casino, but does not want to belong to ‘them’
