The game became a real addiction
What did the streamer say? LilyPichu primarily plays games like League of Legends and Valorant. However, she also enjoyed showcasing the well-known gacha game Genshin Impact. On July 15, LilyPichu was a guest on the “Trash Taste Podcast,” which regularly garners over 1 million views. When the conversation turned to the ongoing popularity of Genshin Impact, she revealed the extent of her problem with gacha games.

However, the streamer did not want to reveal an exact amount. She admitted to spending more money on Genshin Impact than she was paid for her role as the mini-ninja Sayu.
I basically paid back all the money they paid me. […] It’s terrible. I stopped spending money and I stopped playing. I had to uninstall [Genshin].

Even the podcast hosts admit to having had similar experiences with Genshin Impact and identify themselves as former addicts. However, they are now “clean”.
LilyPichu talks about her problem with gacha games
This is not the first time: Genshin Impact is not her first gacha game. LilyPichu admitted to having spent money on mobile games like Summoner’s War and Cookie Run as well. However, she has since stopped playing gacha games.
Her enthusiasm for Genshin, however, went beyond the game. She confessed to have watched various MMDs of the characters on YouTube. These are short videos where the character models are used to perform cute dances.
She is not proud of that. However, Genshin is simply well made. From the landscapes to the music to the characters, it is simply really beautiful. Everything is designed to attract players and entice them to spend money.
Very quietly, she finally added that she recently reinstalled the game.
