New World is a new favorite game of Twitch streamer shroud. That’s why he plays it often and with pleasure. However, one round was suddenly interrupted when shroud’s PC power supply spectacularly blew up.
What happened to shroud? Amazon’s new MMORPG New World has recently launched and a huge number of players are playing the game. Among them is the top streamer shroud, who is actually better known for his phenomenal shooting skills in shooters.
But the grind in New World also excites him, and so he was playing the MMORPG one night, unsuspecting, when suddenly there was a bang and then his PC turned off.
The reason was that apparently the power supply had failed. But it not only burned out, according to shroud, it actually exploded!
His viewers were puzzled until a few minutes later shroud reported via Twitter and explained the situation.
Shroud needs to replace hardware
How is shroud and his hardware? In a statement to his fans, shroud said the following:
“That was damn crazy. I’ve never seen a power supply explode like that, it was insane, it was cool. It scared the hell out of me, but it was cool.”
The streamer apparently escaped with a scare this time.
But apparently the explosion left damage on the hardware of the top streamer. Because in another tweet he stated that he did not know if he could stream today because of this incident. But one thing is clear. The grind in New World must not stop.
Was New World responsible for the damage? Since New World already has a reputation for melting innocent graphics cards, one might also wonder if the explosion of the power supply was caused by the game itself.
But according to shroud, it wasn’t due to New World. Rather, he blames a voltage spike in the line for the damage.
