The Twitch streamer Maximilian Schradin was invited by a German TV show for a cameo appearance, but he declined. The reason: He does not want to be confronted with his past anymore.
How did Maximilian Schradin become famous? Before Maximilian Schradin became a Twitch streamer about a year ago, he was regularly seen as a TV presenter. In the early 2000s, he hosted various call-in quiz shows, including on the TV channel 9Live.
These were quiz shows that posed seemingly simple tasks to encourage viewers to call in. These calls cost a cent per minute, which the callers had to pay.
Since Maximilian Schradin often had outbursts during the quiz shows because he seemed angry when no one guessed the answer, he drew a lot of attention.
Until 2011, Maximilian Schradin was primarily seen in these quiz shows before starting in teleshopping. He practiced teleshopping alongside his work as a referee until he finally took the plunge to Twitch in 2021. For about a year, he has been one of the biggest Twitch streamers in Germany.
“The times are over”
Why does Maximilian Schradin decline the appearance? In a Twitch stream from September 10, 2025, Maximilian Schradin recounts that he was invited by TV Total for a cameo appearance. According to him, it was supposed to be a brief appearance in the style of the old call-in shows. A kind of “9Live revival”.
The Twitch streamer was to play himself in his old role as a TV presenter. However, he did not want to do that and refused live in the stream. A cameo appearance is “not really his thing” and he added: “The times are over” (source: twitch.tv from minute 00:23:58).
Maximilian Schradin is apparently interested in another type of appearance, but not like that. He concludes (source: twitch.tv from minute 00:24:50):
The joke is eventually played out. (…) Don’t invite Schradin to host a Hot Button, but invite Schradin because he makes cool content, cool interactions in live streams, and shapes cool projects on social media in the last two or three years (…)
Due to his age (47), which is higher than the average of the most famous Twitch streamers (about 29 years), he is often seen as the “senior” in German Twitch, similar to MontanaBlack. This gives Maximilian Schradin a recognizable value, and the former TV presenter has found his place in German Twitch.
Apparently, he does not want to give this up anymore and does not want to deal extensively with his past. The chapter seems to be closed for Maximilian Schradin.
Recently, Maximilian Schradin held his first large live tour on Twitch. A big boat tour was planned for the finale, including the raising of a flag. However, this did not happen because the streamers were late: Twitch streamer celebrates first own tour live on Twitch, but the finale fails because he is late
