Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa is one of the biggest female streamers on Twitch. She often presents herself in a rather revealing manner during her livestreams, likely for a specific reason: to “reclaim power.” MeinMMO reports.
Who is the streamer?
- Amouranth is one of the most successful streamers on Twitch. She has generated over 5.4 million followers and has an average of nearly 8,000 viewers. She currently has about 11,000 subscribers.
- When someone donates a certain amount or gifts subscriptions, the 28-year-old honors them in a special way: Either she writes the usernames on her body or on visible objects during the stream.
- Siragusa is mainly known for her revealing content, pool, and ASMR streams. She enjoys rubbing against microphones or licking them to bring a pleasant feeling to her viewers.
- Now she revealed in an interview with Twitch streamer RollingStone that she sexualizes herself because “guys do it to you anyway” (via Twitch). Amouranth can benefit from this as well.

Amouranth says streaming is a way to “reclaim power”
What was the interview about? The interview discussed what it’s like to be a female streamer. Especially after some of them reported threats, stalking, and harassment, to the point where they were too afraid to attend TwitchCon.
What did Amouranth say? Siragusa revealed that she has always been sexualized even before her Twitch career. No matter whether she was shopping in a supermarket or taking a walk.
Furthermore, she talked about being harassed while doing streams in public. The men apparently didn’t know she was live and followed her into different stores, allegedly taking photos of her when she bent down to grab something from a shelf.
Amouranth stated that her stream is an opportunity for her to “reclaim power” and not always be a “victim” of sexualization as she consciously chooses to present herself this way. She can also profit from it.
“You know what? If guys do it to you anyway, no matter what you do, you might as well just do it,” said Siragusa, meaning she can take their money.
In contrast, however, the Twitch streamer announced that she no longer wants to be an e-girl: Streamer Amouranth no longer wants to be an e-girl, announces major changes on Twitch
