The Twitch streamer QTCinderella breaks the record for the speedrun of baking a dozen chocolate cookies in less than 4 minutes. However, her achievement sparks discussions in the speedrun community.
What record does the streamer break? Speedruns are topics we keep seeing mainly in gaming, but they also exist in many other areas—such as baking. The Twitch streamer QTCinderella has made it her mission to bake a dozen chocolate cookies (that is, 12 pieces) as the fastest person in the world.
On May 14, she posted on X that she is the current record holder for speedrunning a dozen cookies
. The previous times were mostly in double digits, but the streamer managed to do it in less than 4 minutes.
Relaxed rules earn her first place
How did she achieve this time? Overall, there are not very strict rules in this speedrun category. What was important so far was that the cookie was baked through and more than three centimeters large. To achieve this time, she prepared some things in advance. For example, her oven was preheated and the ingredients were already measured out.
This meant that she only needed about two minutes to put the cookies in the oven and an additional 96 seconds to finish baking them. Proudly, she noted to her chat on Twitch that they even taste really good
.
How does the community react to her success? The speedrun community did not seem very pleased with the streamer’s approach. Shortly after her victory, the website Speedrun.com spoke out and decided to reassess the category.
We will temporarily archive the IRL Baking category to reevaluate the rules and return with a coherent and more comprehensive set of rules.

The new rules will clearly define which tools may be used and when a cookie is considered baked, as the cookies from QTCinderella were, according to her own statement in the stream, “still moist but no longer raw”.
QTCinderella expressed her displeasure with the new regulation and accused the team on X of being afraid of her. A team member responded that they were not afraid but were just trying to improve the rules. Such things generate a lot of messages and spam from people who follow big streamers, which could become a “nightmare for moderators”.
The new regulations now require that the ingredients be measured during the challenge and that the cookies must be as round as possible. Furthermore, one must show the cookie more clearly to ensure that it is indeed baked through.
This is not the first time that the streamer QTCinderella has tried to use rules to her advantage. Previously, she attempted to trick Twitch and received a temporary ban for it. What exactly happened there can be read here: Streamer QTCinderella openly tricks Twitch – A ban follows
