The New Zealander Quintin “Quin69” Crawford is an excellent player of hack ‘n slash games like Diablo 4 or Path of Exile. He is considered a leading expert. But Quin69 also has a tendency to get himself into serious trouble on Twitch.
What kind of guy is he?
- Quin69 is a New Zealander and is quite his own person. He is an excellent player, probably one of the top gamers in Path of Exile altogether, which is currently hyped and has more players on Steam than ever before. But he also has a loose tongue that often gets him into trouble.
- Even fans who really love him know that the New Zealander frequently has lapses that get him into trouble, as he often speaks without a filter and digs himself into a hole with specific sensitive topics.
- After being banned from Twitch multiple times, it had been relatively quiet around the 33-year-old lately. Currently, he is on the rise, as Path of Exile is doing so well, and Quin69 has 40% more viewers than before. 12,000 people watch him when he is playing Path of Exile.
Streamer sings the wrong song out loud – Censors himself but uses the wrong word
What did he do? As Spotskeeda reports, Quin69 went online on Twitch and played Path of Exile while apparently being tipsy.
He listened to a song by 50 Cent and sang along loudly. At one point, he mumbled the “N-word”, a racist insult towards Black people that is strictly prohibited on Twitch, as MontanaBlack knows.
Quin69 immediately realized what he had said, sat up straight and asserted that he had been so careful to avoid the homophobic “F-word” that he had forgotten to censor the N-word. That was his mistake. He was just quoting the song he was listening to.
He assures into the empty space: He has just woken up, has just woken up.

What is the F-word? “The F-word” is less known in German. It is the English word “Faggot”, which could be translated into German as “Schwuchtel”.
Both words, the N-word and the F-word, are prohibited on Twitch and usually lead to a ban when used with hateful intent.

How is this being discussed? In the situation, it is clear that Quin69 did not intend to be racist in any way, so the whole situation is discussed rather humorously. Along the lines of “Of course, something like this happens to him again.”
The comments on reddit are like:
- “In his defense: He was totally drunk”
- “Banned 3 days after the launch of the best league – classic”
- “When you are so focused on censoring the homophobic slur that you forget to censor the N-word.”
- “The clip becomes even funnier because you can’t hear the 50 Cent song he is quoting.”
The whole thing seems so strange also because the song could not be heard in the stream due to copyright reasons. Quin69 seems to just mumble the N-word out of nowhere:
It is currently unclear whether Twitch will actually ban Quin69 – his viewers are certainly once again amused at his expense.
