In Destiny 2, Twitch streamer Datto has now offered money if someone at Bungie works overtime to adjust the balance. In fact, this is already in the works. The Hunter ability “Shatterdive” is set to be nerfed in a patch. The update is scheduled for December 7.
This is what the Twitch streamer wrote: Currently, the Trials of Osiris are running again in Destiny 2. This brings frustration in PvP. The well-known Destiny 2 streamer Datto wrote on Friday, October 8:
“Dear whoever is responsible, If you work this weekend to nerf this crap Shatter Dive, I will pay you 1.5 times your salary. If you patch it out of the game, I will pay you double!”

So Bungie responded: Game designer Kevin Yanes responded and said: Shatterdive will be nerfed with the patch for Bungie’s 30th anniversary, along with some other abilities.
They want to shift the PvP in Destiny 2 back towards gunplay.
To this end, Yanes posted a meme from Game of Thrones, where someone is shouting: “I claim the salt throne for myself.”
This seems to imply: Enough tears have been shed over Shatterdive.
After that, Yanes turned back to his new passion: Metroid Dread. He later even said: He had violated his own rule “No news, just memes” and is now responsible for amplifying “dumb news articles.”
Hunter ability seen as too strong in PvP
What is Shatterdive about? The ability “Shatterdive” is one of the Stasis abilities of the Hunter. The ability can be activated in the air, causing the Hunter to dive down and deal damage to all targets in a certain radius.
“Shatterdive” is considered an “insta-kill” ability that provides little chance to counter it.
In any case, there is a lot of criticism of the “Stasis abilities” in PvP – many say these abilities have ruined the fun in PvP.
When is the patch expected? The “30th Anniversary Patch” for Destiny 2 is scheduled for December 7, 2021, so it is still quite a while away.
Apparently, Bungie wants to change some “abilities” in PvP with the patch to steer the game more towards “weapons.”
This is being discussed: On Reddit, many believe that Shatterdive is too strong in its current form – but only in PvP. In PvE, the damage is acceptable and should remain as is. Overall, the balance in PvP, especially that of the Stasis abilities, is seen critically.
