Cheaters and hackers are a real problem in Call of Duty Warzone. This has also been felt by TimTheTatman, one of the biggest Twitch streamers. A cheater made him furious during a match of CoD’s own battle royale.
Warzone has a big problem: Even if you only occasionally play CoD Warzone, you probably have noticed: nasty cheaters and hackers currently represent one of the biggest, if not the biggest problem in Call of Duty’s own battle royale – even in professional tournaments.
While Activision repeatedly takes action against the distribution of cheat and hacking software – for example, closing provider sites and banning thousands of cheating accounts – it unfortunately currently feels like the publisher is losing the battle against cheaters or at least falling further behind.
Many players believe that this problem has reached its peak during the ongoing Season 4, and therefore frustrated and annoyed, they are turning their backs on Warzone – even some prominent streamers and community members are distancing themselves from the battle royale. Recently, the Warzone developers were even publicly trolled by one of the largest cheat providers.
Now, even the well-known content creator and Twitch streamer TimTheTatman’s frustration due to a hacker has boiled over.
TimTheTatman breaks down in Twitch stream
What exactly led to this outburst? After TimTheTatman was eliminated early in a solo round, he remained in the lobby and spectated for a while. It didn’t take long before he spotted a hacker. That alone visibly soured his mood.
Level 8, new account, the game is so bad… First game of the day, literally the first game of the day and I’m already watching a cheater.
After he watched 3 games, each time with cheaters involved, the streamer became increasingly upset. The hacker who pushed Tim over the edge didn’t even try to hide his cheats and began to take out every player he encountered with surgical precision. The streamer quickly discovered that the cheater already had a “proud” KD of 85 and slowly worked himself into a rage:
How is it possible that there’s no automated system? This guy has an 85 KD and nothing happens. There’s no little red flag saying: hey, guys, this dude has a KD of 85, maybe we should take a closer look at him…
Here’s how TimTheTatman lost it: After TimTheTatman watched this hacker’s game until the end, the emotional outburst followed and the streamer directed some words at the cheater:
“Hey, f*** you, WildPants! Can you hear me, you little b****? I know you can hear me, I know that. You’re so bad, it literally hurts me. It hurt me to watch you,” the streamer shouted. Then he took a breath and continued: “It really hurt to see you play. You can’t even climb a ladder, but you have a 100 KD! Nice f***ing automated system, dog s***! You should feel bad about yourself. I would say take your money back, but it’s a free game. This account will be banned soon, go and make yourself a new one…”
But you should definitely check it out for yourself. Here’s the whole thing as a clip from Twitch (starts right at the outburst):
After the outburst, the streamer then admitted, laughing, that he felt much better now. But the whole situation exemplifies quite well what many players currently dislike about Warzone and what takes away their enjoyment.
Have hackers or cheaters ever pushed you to the point where you became as emotional as TimTheTatman? How do you currently see the cheating problem in Call of Duty’s battle royale? Feel free to let us know in the comments, along with other readers of MeinMMO.
