Before he became successful as a streamer on Twitch, Jens “Knossi” Knossalla was already seen on television, specifically in the court show “Judge Barbara Salesch”. The judge and the other cast members met him again after around 16 years.

The depicted case unfolds gradually within each episode through various witness testimonies, and at the end, Judge Barbara Salesch delivers the verdict.

What does Knossi experience behind the scenes? On November 20, 2025, the Twitch streamer went live for 24 hours starting at 5 PM in a collaboration with TV channel RTL to raise donations. During this time, he took his viewers behind the scenes of many RTL shows, including “Judge Barbara Salesch”.
Knossi reports in the livestream that he received the script for the show three weeks before his appearances. It was always particularly important to him to be confident with the lines. The performances were then evaluated, and he would be banned for three months before he could perform again.
Knossi comments: “That was my life. […] Those were my first TV appearances.” (Source: YouTube starting at minute 08:38). He often slipped into different roles, sometimes as a co-plaintiff, sometimes as a defendant, sometimes as “Witness 3”.
In the courtroom, Knossi met the lawyer and actor Bernd Römer, other actors, and finally Judge Barbara Salesch. In her studio office, they watched old scenes from 2009 in which Knossi acted.
