Who is Knossi?
- Jens Knossalla, better known as “Knossi”, is a 36-year-old streamer and entertainer on Twitch.
- He is known for his honest yet exuberant nature.
- Currently, Knossi can be seen in season 2 of the survival series 7 vs. Wild on YouTube, entertaining viewers by talking to a green ball or setting a palm tree on fire to light his cigarette.
- Even today, he is still one of the 5 biggest German streamers on Twitch
“It was as if my body needed this”
What is the speech about? The second season of 7 vs. Wild is coming to an end, and Knossi is in a good mood on the morning of the seventh day. Although he misses his family, he knows he will see them soon.
Soon after, Knossi talks about his time on the island, explains to the viewers that he is one of them, and says that this is how he survived the time there. He then finds a few emotional words to describe the experiences he had.
What does Knossi say in his speech? In his emotional speech, Knossi says that the 7 days were beautiful and that he didn’t miss his phone. He needed such a break, as his body required it. Moreover, the 36-year-old emphasizes again how important it is to take time for oneself:
That was the complete breakdown for me. No phone, nothing. That was beautiful. That was really nice. It was also a bit as if my body needed it, as if I really wanted it. […] When I turn on the phone tomorrow and it shows ‘here’s an appointment’ and ‘there’s an appointment’, then everyone can lick my ass. Believe me, I don’t care at all, because I realized here that the most important thing is to also have time for yourself.

What is 7 vs. Wild? It is a survival series on YouTube, in which seven participants must survive for seven days in a remote location in the wilderness with a maximum of 7 items and the clothing on their bodies.
The series is a massive success. After season 1 gained many fans in 2021, season 2 continues the victorious march. The currently youngest episode 14 has already achieved 2.7 million views on YouTube just under 20 hours after its release (as of December 22, 2022).
It is not surprising that other content creators are now planning similar formats. For example, Twitch streamer Trymacs launched the show “Nerd in the Dirt”, where 7 vs. Wild participant Otto helped him. However, while Trymacs is trying to survive in the wilderness, his girlfriend is supposed to play Clash of Clans for him.
