The Twitch streamer Leslie “Fuslie” Fu is currently worried about her life. The US streamer reports in a concerning stream that her life outside of GTA RP is falling apart and she can’t stop thinking about GTA.
This is the situation:
- The streamer Fuslie became known through Valorant and GTA Online RP. But now, she claims that she is losing control over her GTA RP addiction.
- In a clip, she talks about her addiction. What began as a joke for fans quickly became serious. In the clip, she explains to her roughly 20,000 viewers what is currently wrong with her.
- In a stream, the streamer even had to cry because she had to say goodbye to a teammate for a few days. Here, Fuslie realized, as she says, that she is losing her grip on real life.
GTA RP addiction, can it be? Fuslie talks about her experience
In one of her latest streams, the streamer explains to her fans that she has a problem. This problem is simultaneously her daily bread and her biggest source of income: GTA Online roleplaying on the NoPixel server. The streamer talks about her life outside the game and why it is not going smoothly at the moment.
GTA Online RP has burned itself into her head. She says that she can no longer stop thinking about the roleplay in GTA Online. When she gets up, the first thing she does is watch videos and clips of GTA Online RP. This continues until she starts her own stream. In the evening, after the stream, she continues binge-watching GTA clips. Often, she does this for so long that she only falls asleep from exhaustion.
How bad is it? What her Twitch chat initially saw as a joke, Fuslie then clarified with some serious words:
Listen, my life is falling apart. I’m way too deep in and GTA has become a terrible addiction. […] I urgently need to reorganize my life. […] I wake up with it, spend my day with it, and go to sleep with it.
She explains to the chat that only the area visible on her camera is truly tidy. Used tissues lie under the desk, dirty clothes are scattered on the floor, and the trash can is already overflowing (via twitch.tv).
Streamer prescribes herself, 4 days of GTA withdrawal
This is how she wants to help herself: Just one day after the stream in which she explained that she couldn’t do without GTA, she began a trip. A trip that she organized. Fuslie admitted in the stream that she actually wanted to avoid the trip together with other streamers and friends.
She would be away from roleplaying in GTA Online for four days – a thought she simply couldn’t bear.
The streamer also says that she effectively forced herself not to back out and to finally use the time away from GTA Online in another way. Just the thought of saying goodbye to her in-game assistant for four days hurt so much that she began to cry during the stream.
Currently, it fortunately seems that Fuslie participated in the trip. In the days following the stream, she has not broadcast any GTA roleplay on Twitch. Even though she will return to the NoPixel server in a few days, she wants to reduce her playtime there.
She ended the broadcast with the words:
I love the game, but I have to make sure that it stays that way in the future
