The Twitch streamer Sweett_T got hit so hard in his last New World stream that he escalated in anger and damaged part of his setup. We at MeinMMO summarize.
Who is Sweett_T? The streamer is rather smaller and has an average of 9 concurrent viewers.
He has mostly streamed New World lately, but he is also active in Call of Duty and is already known in his community for occasionally losing it. However, even his hardware had to suffer this time.
How did the stream go? On April 16, Sweett_T streamed a war in the MMORPG New World, as he often does. In this mode, a total of 100 players fight for control over an area within the game’s world.
In this specific case, the streamer defended the area “Weaver’s Den” in the northern part of the map with his guild. During the battles, he repeatedly complains about the balance issues in New World’s PvP.
Especially the ice gauntlet with its large ice fields and walls often becomes a problem in mass situations. It doesn’t take much more than a few players with ice gauntlets to hold back an entire overpowering force. This is exactly what led to Sweett_T’s downfall.
Setup must suffer during Sweett_T’s outburst
What happened during the battle? The streamer kept getting angrier as the ice spells struck around him:
“You just didn’t want to nerf these cursed ice circles? That’s just insane from the developers.” Were his last words before he got caught in those ice circles and died in a split second.
Here you can see the clip of the streamer on Twitch:
After that he went wild and threw his headset with full force into his screen, the camera subsequently fell and showed a black image. While Sweett_T continued to play the game, he was no longer seen on the stream.
After the war, he showed that his screen had display errors and was broken. He ended the stream and has not been online since (as of April 22).
Clip shows a major problem
What is problematic? The situation around balancing, especially in PvP of New World, remains a critical point. Especially the ice gauntlet seen in the clip is often the center of discussions on reddit and in the forum. While the developers at Amazon promise that they are working on balancing, progress is slow.
Even the big update with the new weapon changed little. Many fans are still frustrated by the ice fields and ice walls in the 50 vs 50 battlefields. They simply have too much influence on the outcome of battles.
Spamming the ice skills currently makes it extremely difficult for attackers to gain any land. Especially melee fighters have little chance when they have to run into these walls of ice spells.
What do you think about this? Are you still actively playing New World or have you set the MMORPG aside for now? And if you are even active in PvP, can you relate to the streamer’s frustration? Feel free to let us know in the comments here at MeinMMO.
