The Twitch streamer Cohh Carnage is considered a veteran on Twitch and is even part of the platform’s Player Council. The 35-year-old has streamed for tens of thousands of hours and has pretty much seen it all. However, a donation of $32,000 for a good cause leaves him speechless.
That was too much for the streamer: During a stream on June 15, Cohh Carnage aimed to raise donations for 4 hours: the recipient was the renowned St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in the USA.
He is currently taking a short break from Everspace 2 to read the donations he missed. While he confidently reads donations of $5 and $20 and thanks the donors, he suddenly pauses and stares at the screen. It looks from the outside as if the image has frozen.
He says nothing more and first has to make sure that he is seeing correctly.
In fact, a user donated over $32,000 for the good cause – that’s about €28,500.
Later, when the streamer had collected himself, he said the donation was simply insane. He has been streaming for 7 years now, there is little that can throw him off balance, but this really did it.
After the charity stream, Cohh Carnage expressly thanked his fans. He raised over $230,000 for the children’s hospital in just 4 hours, including two incredibly high individual donations, both exceeding $30,000.
This is the good cause: The St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee specializes in fighting cancer in children. No family receives a bill here; the treatment of the children is free. This is quite special in the USA.
St. Jude Hospital is therefore often the target of charity actions on Twitch, where large sums are raised. The streamer DrLupo raised over a million US dollars in December 2019.
Cohh Carnage – A veteran for PC gaming on Twitch
This is Cohh Carnage: The 35-year-old bearded man (first name: Ben) is something like the “ultimately typical gaming streamer on Twitch.” He has been on the platform since 2011 and can be seen for several hours every day.

CohhCarnage is not specialized in typical Twitch hits, but rather plays online games from the second tier. Recently, he has been spending a lot of time in Terraria or Everquest.
