During the playtime of a Twitch streamer in Diablo-3, the community is surprised. He is said to play about 23 hours a day and is already at almost 12,000 Paragon levels. Is that possible or are there bots involved?
Who is it about? The player Darkpatator has already collected 11,892 Paragon points on his Diablo-3 account. So many Paragon levels count as the best performances of all Diablo-3 players worldwide.
How can one have so much playtime?
An overview of his playtimes:
- He played the Barbarian for over 7800 hours
- The Crusader for over 6800 hours
- The Wizard for over 4200 hours
- The Demon Hunter for over 3500 hours
- The Necromancer for over 500 hours
- The Witch Doctor for over 150 hours
That alone adds up to more than 2.5 years of pure playtime. An amazing number.
This is now the discussion: The Reddit user NTariel pointed out in the community that the Twitch streamer “darkpatatord3” now has an incredibly high Paragon level and would have to play almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
NTariel took screenshots of the streamer’s non-seasonal playtimes from February 23 to March 1. His calculation looks like this:
Playtime since February 23 – 170 hours
– Barbarian 128 hours
– Wizard 20 minutes
– Monk – 7.5 hours
– Demon Hunter – 4 hours and 10 minutes
– Witch Doctor – 3 hours and 20 minutes
– Crusader – 11 hours and 10 minutes
– Necromancer – 10 hoursThis results in 164.5 hours with a maximum of 170 possible hours. 23 hours and 20 minutes of playtime per day. Legit.

This is inaccurate: The calculation is not entirely transparent. If February 23 and March 1 both count in the calculation, that would be 8 days, so 192 hours.
But even then, the pure playtime per day would have to be almost 21 hours.
Players suspect: Who plays that much, cheats
How do players react? Players believe that with so many play hours, something is off, or it involves bots. Meanwhile, Twitch streamer Darkpatator is not a single case:
“There are literally players who reached 14,000 Paragon points on the NA servers. Darkpatator is just one of the highest in Europe. Check the Paragon points of non-seasonal solo classes. All top 2-3 in NA are clanless people with monosyllabic names who have 13,000-14,000 Paragon points. They are still much further than him. He just happens to stream as well and does YouTube. They clearly bot and probably also use Google Maps [Map Hacks],” explains GiefDownvotesPlox on Reddit.
Another user writes that he made videos about the average playtime per day of the top players. It would be “extremely obvious” who cheats. Some would have even been defended, although they had 20+ play hours every day over a 3-month period. “That was really funny”. (via reddit)
Others want to hold on to good faith and write that it might be a group of players sharing the account to achieve such numbers.
