The Twitch streamer Maik “Zarbex” does not want to be treated like an “animal in a zoo” just because he is in the public eye. This is especially true for viewers who secretly take pictures of content creators.
What does Zarbex say about privacy? The Twitch streamer Zarbex spoke in one of his past streams about the privacy that one should have as a content creator. He feels that secret recordings made by viewers of him feel like being an animal in a zoo

Zarbex also talked about an encounter with a viewer on the highway. According to him, the other person filmed from their own car into the car of the Twitch streamer while driving.
The streamer believes that just because one is a person in the public eye, they are not the property of the public
.
One is still a human
Why did Zarbex bring up the topic? The discussion was triggered by a picture of the streamer AliBumayeTV, who had been photographed by a viewer on a train while asleep.
Zarbex has the following to say on the topic:
There are people who say: ‘You chose this. You’re a public figure. You’re a streamer and so on.’ Yes, that is right, and I also handle it well when I get approached on the street, and I also like to take pictures and chat with people. […] But when I’m somehow sleeping or napping on the train and people come up and bother you, I find that uncool. One is still a human and deserves respect.
Zarbex on Twitch from minute 25:55
As a streamer, Zarbex makes a living from many people watching him simultaneously on a platform while gaming or doing other things. In the past 365 days, Zarbex had an average of 14,259 viewers according to SullyGnome.
Often, these streams occur in his own private spaces. Additionally, it is part of the job of a streamer to share a part of their private life with the public. However, the difference lies in the context in which filming and sharing occur. Secret filming in a more private moment that the streamer does not share themselves is something different than a Twitch stream intended for entertainment purposes.
Such feelings can apparently also arise in other situations. During gamescom 2023, the Twitch streamer MontanaBlack chose a similar formulation. The gamescom 2023 was indeed full, not only of visitors but also of content creators.
MontanaBlack commented at the time that influencers seemed to be like monkeys in a zoo
