Eintracht Spandau, the LoL team of Twitch streamer HandOfBlood, is currently on a “fever dream of a run”. Olaf Scholz has been personally invited to the final.
What kind of invitation is that? On April 26, 2024, HandOfBlood reached out to Olaf Scholz personally on X, formerly Twitter, warmly inviting the Chancellor to come to Spandau and join him for the broadcast of the EMEA Masters final, which his LoL team has qualified for.
The Twitch streamer explains that it’s kind of like the Champions League and points out that French President Emmanuel Macron cheered for “his” team in 2022.
Although it’s not entirely clear how serious the Twitch streamer is about the offer – if any content creator could be expected to sit down with Olaf Scholz in a stream and discuss League of Legends together, it would surely be HandOfBlood.
After all, he has already hosted the mayor of Spandau in his stream – a leap to the Chancellor is almost just a small step. Unfortunately, there has been no response, let alone an official acceptance, at this moment.

Eintracht Spandau soon European champions?
What is the special occasion? On Sunday, April 28, 2024, Eintracht Spandau will compete in the final of the EMEA Masters. This is the championship for the region of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. This is a big deal, because despite their popularity on social media, the LoL team of HandOfBlood hasn’t done much yet.
The season so far has been quite rocky for the Spandau team. In the German Prime League, they only finished 5th, barely qualifying for the playoffs. But then Eintracht took one victory after another and finally brought the championship title to Spandau.

In the group stage of the EMEA Masters, things went great as well: With 5 wins and 1 loss, Eintracht Spandau became the group winner. In the final, the Spandau team must face the Turkish team Beşiktaş Esports. It starts at 5:00 PM – with or without Olaf Scholz.
