The Twitch streamer Kevin “GTime” Lohse is a true veteran in the German content creator landscape. Through a shift in his content and Craft Attack 13, he experienced a renewed surge in viewers.
Who is it about? The streamer GTime has been on the Twitch platform since 2014. Thus, he is one of the veterans in the German Twitch landscape. GTime is a trained chef and also worked in this profession before his Twitch career.
He mainly fills his Twitch channel with gaming content and participated in Craft Attack 13 and other Twitch projects.
Exactly one year ago, in January 2025, GTime had an average of 435 viewers per stream according to SullyGnome.com. Comparing that to his current average viewer numbers, which stand at 5,339, results in an almost twelvefold increase (source: SullyGnome).
From Gaming to Fitness and Cooking
How did GTime manage to increase his viewer numbers? In the podcast Henke’s Corner (on YouTube), GTime shared a bit more about his content on Twitch. He produced only gaming content in the past but eventually had no significant success with it anymore.
In August 2024, he set a goal to try Twitch full-time for about a year and then eventually switch back to his previous profession. He also had plans for something with a food truck or an online shop with preserved food.
At the same time, GTime revamped his content: instead of only offering gaming, he combined his desire to lose weight with Twitch. He cooked in his streams and played sports games in front of his viewers.
This, along with his participation in Craft Attack 13, gave the Twitch streamer a boost in terms of viewers. At this point, it seems GTime has reconsidered his plan to stop with Twitch.
By now, GTime has surpassed 1 million followers on Twitch. Previously, GTime had promised his viewers a DJ set, as he had also performed DJ activities before his Twitch career.
Someone who also experienced significant growth on a platform and learned a “normal” profession is the Twitch streamer and YouTuber Varion. He managed to reach 1 million subscribers on YouTube in 3 months.
