Gladd is back in top form: The streamer and YouTuber recently tackled the toughest jumping sections in Destiny 2 and mastered them with the help of a Rock Band drum kit.
This is the mission: Recently, a new mission called “The Zero Hour” was added to Destiny 2, which rewards players with the Destiny 2 version of the Outbreak Prime, the Perfected Outbreak. This mission is time-critical and gives you only 20 minutes to complete the quest.
Not exactly a lot of time when you still have to overcome jumping sections and out-of-control vacuum robots named Trevor.
However, streamer Gladd from the clan Redeem recently took on the challenge and mastered some sections with a Rock Band drum kit. Afterwards, he went back and also completed the labyrinth of the mission for the exotic sniper Whisper of the Worm with the drum set.
How did Gladd do it? Using the different “drums” of the drum kit, Gladd moved his character in various directions. He handled shooting and jumping with the controller buttons on the drum kit.
As Gladd himself writes under his video, the Zero Hour mission was particularly stressful and difficult. The transition from drum control for movement to buttons for shooting and jumping likely caused him to break a sweat.
Gladd is a repeat offender: Gladd and his clan Redeem are already known in the community for their extraordinary achievements. Gladd himself continually tries out special challenges, often accompanied by Slayerage from the clan The Legend Himself.
By the way, it was not the first time that Gladd unpacked his drum kit for Destiny: In Destiny 1, he once defeated the raid boss Crota using drums. He also beat the boss with a dance mat, using voice controls and the guitar controller from Guitar Hero.
In Destiny 2, a tribute is currently being paid to a friend from Destiny 1:
