The former speedrun star Narcissa ‘NarcissaWright’ Wright (32) was banned from Twitch on March 21. However, the streamer couldn’t handle it well and let her displeasure run free on Twitter. MeinMMO tells you who the streamer is and what exactly happened.

Who is the former celebrated streamer?
- NarcissaWright was known as CosmoWright until 2015 and was a celebrated Twitch streamer known for her extraordinary Zelda speedruns. Sometimes tens of thousands of viewers were captivated in front of their screens. Incredible numbers for that time.
- In 2015, she switched to the name NarcissaWright, came out as transgender, and began to live as a woman.
- From then on, she no longer did Zelda speedruns, but streamed most of the time in the “Just Chatting” category. Narcissa usually lay on her bed or sometimes sat silently in front of her screen. Her viewer numbers dropped to below 100.
- Now the Twitch streamer has been permanently banned from the platform and she did not take it well. She spammed on Twitter and even threatened to go on a rampage.
NarcissaWright wanted to kill herself and other people
Why was she banned from Twitch? This question is answered by Narcissa herself on her Twitter channel. According to her, she was in a Discord call with a troll and showed the chat window with the troll in her stream. Consequently, the troll apparently sent an “ugly not-safe-for-work image” in the chat, which led to Narcissa being banned.
How did the streamer react? The permanent ban triggered a flood of tweets on NarcissaWright’s Twitter. She wrote around 40 tweets afterwards. While some were song lyrics reflecting her feelings, others were less benign.
She threatened to end her life and shoot people at Twitch’s headquarters. She continued to write that Twitch was making her want to die, the internet and real life were hell.
All tweets have since been deleted by the streamer, but a reddit user has published screenshots of them:
The thread has now nearly 11,000 upvotes and comments have been disabled. The responses below are sure that NarcissaWright will not be unbanned in any way.
She herself tweeted that she was “EXTREMELY isolated in real life” and that her Twitch account was what she needed. Narcissa just wanted to stream and not make mistakes. She was also open to a conversation with Twitch staff, as she was sure they could resolve it (via Twitter).
What does Twitch say about it? Twitch has not yet responded to the inquiries and has not addressed the threats either. Whether there will still be a statement is questionable. NarcissaWright will most likely remain banned.
