The Twitch streamer Chefstrobel has received a 30-day ban in League of Legends. The reason given for the ban is cheating, which Chefstrobel disputes.
Which streamer is it about? This concerns the streamer Chefstrobel, who has received a 30-day ban in League of Legends. Together with his colleague Trymacs, he notes that the reason for the ban is supposed to be cheating – but this makes no sense to the streamer.
Cheating for the second-lowest rank
Why was the streamer banned? A clip on TikTok shows that Riot stated cheating as the reason for Chefstrobel’s ban. However, from the streamer’s perspective, this doesn’t make sense. He explains that he is currently at the Silver rank and that his brother used his account to level up. In his stream, he expresses his confusion: “I’m Silver, and they think I’m cheating.”
His fellow streamer Trymacs, on the other hand, suspects a different reason for the ban: He thinks that Riot may assume Chefstrobel cheated because he supposedly ‘fed’ his opponents in a game on purpose. However, Chefstrobel finds his own explanation more plausible – that someone else has used his account.
Furthermore, he believes that the 30-day ban is unjustified, as he has not been boosted to higher ranks, such as Diamond, as he states in his stream on Twitch. Therefore, he plans to contest the decision of LoL, he explains.
What happens next? However, the whole situation does not have major consequences for streamer Chefstrobel. In a clip on Twitch, he reports that he has challenged Riot’s decision and is currently waiting for feedback.
This could lead to Riot lifting the ban early. If that is not the case, however, the streamer has no choice but to accept the ban.
Last year, the streamer uploaded a video in which he reported how much the hate affected him back then and that he was always seen as Trymacs’ sidekick. To find out why that is, you can read here: Twitch streamer is tired of being the fool: Somehow, it’s Trymacs’ fault
