Streamer Fibi “Fibii” Pfeifer has been streaming on Twitch for several years and has recently launched her own AI chatbot. However, the project faced significant criticism from the community. After a few days, Fibii discontinued the chatbot as she recognized the dangers the project posed.
What kind of AI chatbot is this? Fibii’s AI chatbot can be imagined as a normal chatbot that one can chat with. The Fibii chatbot also has the “personality” of the Twitch streamer. It is programmed to provide responses just like Fibii herself would.
For this, as she mentioned in her announcement, the Twitch streamer trained the program herself. Chatting is a free feature but offered only a limited number of questions that one could ask.
If one wanted to chat more, subscription models of 1.49 euros or 4.99 euros per month could be taken out. Additionally, there was a type of leaderboard where users who had been chatting with the chatbot for a longer time were ranked higher.

What is the criticism? The community quickly pointed out the potential dangers to Fibii. For instance, parasocial relationships that viewers might have with the Twitch streamer could be reinforced or could arise through the chatbot.
This carries potential risks because the viewer can become overly invested in such a bond that is never reciprocated. In the worst-case scenario, these individuals can not only become unhappy but may also slide into problematic behavior such as stalking.
User TwitchSpion even pointed out that the AI chatbot condemned the actions of the Twitch streamer (via X.com):
Moreover, the program had significant security vulnerabilities, making it very easy to read users’ data.
How did Fibii react? Fibii accepted the criticism and initially posted a statement on X, in which she apologized and asserted that she had not been aware of the consequences beforehand. However, this statement has since been deleted. The Twitch streamer then took action and promptly deleted the chatbot.
In another short statement during her Twitch stream (via twitch.tv), Fibii mentioned that she had “not thought” that people could develop a parasocial relationship with her using the chatbot. She then deleted the chatbot in “a brief concluding reaction.”
This is not the first time that Twitch streamer Fibii has faced criticism for her behavior. When she streamed one of her live broadcasts while driving, her community reacted in shock: 18-year-old Twitch streamer drives so irresponsibly that viewers want to send clips to the police
