The famous Twitch streamer DrDisrespect vented about Apex Legends in one of his recent rounds in Season 2. He criticizes the game and wants to get upset about it, but he just can’t quite manage to do so.
This is what happened to the Doc: Just before the start of Season 3 of Apex Legends, DrDisrespect really ramped up. He wanted to train a bit of Apex Legends on King’s Canyon before the new map “World’s Edge” arrives and temporarily replaces the old one.
During this, the Doc found himself in several firefights. He emerged victorious from many of them. However, in one he was defeated and kissed the sand. But he clearly didn’t see the mistake on his part, but rather blamed the game.
What is the Doc actually upset about? The Doc blames the visual effects on his screen for his demise: “I don’t even know what the hell I’m looking at here. Did you see how many VFX (visual effects) are on the screen?”
He continues to get upset, stands up, and walks away from the computer while ranting: “This is so pathetic, man!” But even while he’s in the midst of his rage, he returns because the Lifeline from his team revives him.
Resigned, he sits back down at his place and grumbles: “This makes me want to just stop, but then I notice I’m being revived, so I sit back down and play the game because I’m addicted, and that sucks!”
Is the Doc sticking with Apex Legends?
Here’s the current situation: Although DrDisrespect often vents about games and also about Apex Legends, he apparently can’t keep his hands off Season 3 for now. According to his profile on sullygnome, he has only been playing Apex Legends since the release of Season 3.
The graphic shows the last seven days of his stream. While different games were part of his portfolio until October 1st, since Season 3, Apex Legends has taken up all of his streaming time. In fact, he even gained 1255 more viewers on average (as of October 2nd).
This is quite normal for a new release, but part of the Doc’s role is also to complain about games. It will likely decrease again in the coming weeks, but he probably can’t turn his back on Apex Legends – after all, he’s “addicted.”
