The Twitch streamer DrDisrespect had quite a meltdown with the start of Season 2 in Fortnite . The outburst was so intense that he even deleted Twitter posts.
This is the streamer’s stance on Fortnite: DrDisrespect has always had a controversial opinion on Fortnite. For instance, he stated that Fortnite makes kids soft and called the developers at Epic Games “stupid developers from North Carolina.”
However, with the start of Season 2 , the Doc seemed to calm down a bit. He even shared a few tweets about Fortnite on his Twitter profile. After a few rounds, though, this positive mood was gone. Angrily, he switched off the shooter and even deleted his tweets about Fortnite.
Streamer says: Fortnite will die
This is the situation: DrDisrespect played several rounds of Fortnite unsuccessfully, and after an elimination in a build duel, the streamer lost his temper.
So he rages about Fortnite and says: “Enough of this damn one ramp, two ramps, wall, ceiling, and shotgun shot that does nothing because we’d rather let a coin decide. I don’t want to play it anymore!”
He also includes insults, saying he hates the game and that the game is dreadful.
What’s next: After the streamer then closed Fortnite out of frustration, the complaining continued. He added: “The game is dying, and they are trying to get everything out of this game. I tell you, after seeing this content, good luck for the rest of the season. Good luck with that for the next few months.”
After that, DrDisrespect remains noticeably annoyed with Fortnite and even goes to his Twitter account, where he deletes various tweets about Fortnite. He had previously written that he was very much looking forward to Season 2 of Fortnite. However, that joy seems to have quickly faded during the stream.
What does DrDisrespect mean by these statements? The streamer tries out many shooters and is particularly at home with Call of Duty. This, of course, offers a completely different gaming experience than Fortnite, where it’s much about realism.
In Fortnite, you can easily absorb a direct shotgun hit if you have enough shields, which is difficult in Modern Warfare. Such points are what DrDisrespect criticizes here.
How is Fortnite doing currently? Regarding the statement that Fortnite is dying, DrDisrespect is certainly also relying on the declining numbers on Twitch. There, Fortnite recently lost a lot of reputation.
With the start of Season 2, viewer numbers are at least rising again. Fortnite gained 20% more viewers in the last 3 days on Twitch.

Fortnite is currently far from dying, as tens of thousands continue to watch live streams of the battle royale shooter. Nevertheless, Epic now has to prove that they can deliver exciting content again in Season 2.
With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, DrDisrespect also caused a lot of buzz at release, as he addressed numerous problems with the game:
