The popular Twitch streamer Rebecca, also known as “JustaMinx,” discovered on the morning of November 3rd that a window in her house had been smashed. However, this was only the beginning, as throughout the day she found an abandoned sleeping place under her house. All of this happened on her 26th birthday.
Who is JustaMinx? The streamer, often referred to simply as “Minx,” has been active on Twitch since 2016. Originally from Ireland, she now lives in the USA. Minx has been living in Los Angeles since December 2021.
On Twitch, Minx has 2 million followers, with an average of 1,800 viewers tuning in when she plays Overwatch or chats with her fans in Just Chatting. Minx does not hold back, which has led to her receiving a ban or two in the past (via sullygnome).
When Minx plays, she enjoys shooters like Valorant or currently Overwatch 2.
Cats of the streamer disappear after burglary
What happened on Minx’s birthday? On the morning of November 3rd, her 26th birthday, the streamer found a window in her house smashed. Apparently, there had been a burglary or at least an attempt at one.
There was no sign of the two cats of the streamer, Cornelius and Sylum. On Twitter, Minx referred to it as perhaps the worst birthday of all time:
At that time, however, Minx was still unaware of what was to come. At least one of her cats, Cornelius, she was able to catch safely.
Minx discovers “drug den” under her house
What was under her house? In search of the missing Sylum, the streamer made a chilling discovery under her house: at least one person seemed to have set up camp there.
Minx reported that she found sleeping bags and alcohol in the space. There were also mentions of drugs.
Minx summarized her birthday: smashed window, searching for the cats, drug den discovered under the house.
What do we know about the burglars? As Minx reported, there are supposed to be recordings from the security cameras showing two men. However, they were wearing gloves, which would complicate the search for fingerprints (via Twitter).
Meanwhile, the streamer has also involved the police. However, Minx felt let down by the officers. They initially did not allow her to go under the house to search for her missing cat. Apparently, there were concerns that Minx might unintentionally destroy evidence.
In further posts on Twitter, the streamer made accusations against the police: The burglary, the disappearance of the cat, and even the sleeping place under the house seemed not to matter to them until she found the drugs.
The video attached to the tweet is said to show Minx and her cat sitter exploring the space under her house. Meanwhile, the police only chatted outside.
Was she able to find her cat? Soon after, Minx posted an update that initially seemed positive. It appeared she had finally located her second cat.
Later, however, the streamer clarified that she had only spotted him under the house. He was very scared and did not allow himself to be caught (via Twitter).
Were the perpetrators caught? That night, there was another incident: As the streamer reported on November 4th, the burglar is said to have appeared at her front door because she had uncovered his drug stash. There is still no update on whether anyone has been arrested.
Minx seems to be greatly affected by the situation, particularly by the disappearance of her cat. On Twitter , she writes that she spent the whole night outside waiting for her cat. Now she doesn’t know what else to do.
It is also not yet known if Minx will stay in the house she has apparently only recently moved into. However, she reported that she has not yet found her cat Sylum and does not want to leave the place until he is back home (via Twitter).
Minx is not the first streamer to be burglarized. In 2021, the Russian streamer “girl__fighter” was live on Twitch when a man broke into her apartment and began to vandalize it. He even knocked over her desk while she was still streaming.
