The Twitch streamer Asmongold is usually known for his love of WoW and his criticism of Blizzard, but he also frequently comments on other content creators on the internet on Twitch. Now, his fans have brought to his attention a new initiative by the Twitch streamer susu.jpg: she wants to take action against imitators and has created a bot of herself.
How does the woman now want to make money?
- The streamer susu.jpg is actually quite a successful Twitch streamer and YouTuber with 330,000 followers on Twitch and 521,000 subscribers on YouTube. However, she also has platforms where she appears more revealing.
- Susu has now had a bot created of herself, which she says viewers could receive text messages, voice messages, and “hot photos” from – all with her consent.
- People should stop wasting their time with fake Susus or deepfakes and enjoy the real “fraud-free experience”.
How does the streamer justify this? The streamer writes that she has been struggling for years with people exploiting her identity and pretending to be Susu. This leads to “parasocial problems”.
The bot at least is honest and clearly states that it is not the real Susu. Moreover, the Susu bot is subject to certain requirements, and everything that happens here occurs with her consent.
Onlyfan Girls no longer have to do their job
This is what Asmongold says: The streamer Asmongold was made aware of the bot by his fans on reddit and commented on it:
“Yes, I saw that. This is something that many Onlyfans girls do. They create bots of themselves that essentially give users permission to generate pictures of her. So they don’t even have to do their job anymore.”
Asmongold says: This is now the way things are developing.
“Like out of an episode of Black Mirror”
How is this being discussed? It is being discussed in a divided manner. A majority of users on Twitter find this frightening:
- They say this is “schizophrenic parasocial crap”
- All parasocial boundaries have been crossed here, people pray for Susu
- The bot is something like “straight out of a Black Mirror” episode
- Another user comments: Paying money to talk to a “fake person” is just wild
- Another user clearly states: “Bro, just admit that you want a sack of money from a group of simps without having to work for it, you clown.”
However, there are also people who understand the streamer:
- “I will use this to take photos of how we cuddle because I can’t have the real thing.”
- This is a brilliant idea
Parasocial Relationship Played Out
What’s behind this: Two things come together here. Normally, streamers like Pokimane try to prevent a parasocial relationship with their viewers: A “parasocial relationship” involves people building a purely one-sided social relationship with a person they cannot reach, imagining that Taylor Swift or a streamer is their “best friend” who understands them and can talk to them, while the prominent person has no relationship with this person but only addresses “all followers or fans” in general.
In extreme cases, this can lead to obsession or stalking. Pokimane talked about this in 2020, that a fan stood at her house who thought Pokimane was his girlfriend.
Streamers like Susu do not want to avoid such a parasocial relationship but even promote it, and this is achieved with such a bot. The streamer Amouranth once stated that even small streamers can earn a lot of money by intensely catering to a few but wealthy viewers: Such men lose interest in streamers as they grow larger and reach more viewers.
Additionally, there is the problem of “deepfakes,” where sexualized photos of women are distributed against their will or that scammers pose as Susu to make money. Customers of such offers are supposed to be given the opportunity by the bot, with the consent of the streamer, to satisfy these parasocial needs.
The pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence among Onlyfans girls is, by the way, – how could it be otherwise – Amouranth:
