Bungie stirred up a big commotion in the Destiny 2 community. A well-known streamer was branded as a leaker since information regarding the upcoming Season 21 had surfaced on a Discord server. The streamer wanted to restore his reputation, but Bungie is now concluding the case.
Which streamer is affected? This involves the Twitch and YouTube streamer “Ekuega”. He and other content creators were invited to a secret meeting with Bungie to receive information about upcoming content.
However, after this meeting, important information from the conference leaked to Discord. Therefore, Bungie investigated the breach of trust and concluded that the culprit could only be Ekuega. They issued a soft ban and labeled him as a leaker, even though he still denies the act.
The streamer suspects he is being used as a scapegoat and that the real culprit is someone else, but Bungie remains unconvinced and insists the verdict is justified.
Bungie concludes the case for itself – Has enough evidence to prove the act
What has Bungie said now? While many content creators now support Ekuega and stand by him, Bungie has already made its judgment. They published a final statement on Twitter and thus conclude the case for themselves:
Our security and legal teams have examined irrefutable evidence, including video recordings, verified messages, and images that demonstrate a temporal pattern confirming that the same person has been passing confidential information from community summits over several years.
We are very disappointed to have received this information and wish things had gone differently with this person. We do not take these actions lightly, and we are confident in our decision.
This is our final statement on this matter.

Bungie insists that they have irrefutable evidence and that Ekuega is the perpetrator. While many fans, including Ekuega, have hoped for his ban to be lifted and for his reputation to be restored, Bungie makes it clear that it is over.
What happens next with Ekuega? The streamer is soft-banned, so it is unclear how long this ban will last and whether it will be permanent. If it is a long ban, Ekuega will be forced to stream other games to continue working on Twitch.
Games like Warframe, Fortnite, and Lost Ark are among the games he has occasionally shown on his channel. It is quite possible that he will move on to test new games and continue streaming.
What do you think about the case? Do you believe Ekuega is guilty or just a scapegoat of a malicious leaker? Let us know in the comments!
