During the holidays of 2025, the renowned content organization FaZe Clan imploded, with numerous members announcing their departure. One of them is the Twitch streamer Lacy. However, he probably hasn’t fully thought through the consequences.
What kind of streamer is he? Lacy began his career as a Fortnite streamer. In 2024, he joined the content organization FaZe Clan and shifted his content to Just Chatting. However, during the holidays of 2025, FaZe Clan imploded, and long-standing members like Adapt announced their departures – including Lacy.
After the streamer had been living rent-free in the FaZe Clan’s content house for nearly 2 years, he suddenly has to think about mundane things like rent. Just over six months ago, the clan showcased the 10 million dollar house on YouTube – and that was still a downgrade compared to the old FaZe house worth 30 million dollars (source: YouTube).
Before joining the FaZe Clan, Lacy had to navigate through crazy challenges.
Streamer says he is “not a millionaire” and “broke”
What does the streamer say? In his stream on January 2, 2026, Lacy informed his fans that he is now facing rent costs of 18,000 US dollars per month. Despite the generous ad revenue that the 22-year-old keeps “accidentally” leaking, that’s quite a lot of money.
The Twitch streamer emphasizes that he is not a millionaire and does not have a million in his account. Lacy even refers to himself as “broke” – or whatever that means for a streamer with over 10,000 active subs on Twitch (source: TwitchTracker).
Mathematically, that amounts to about 34,000 dollars in income from paid subscriptions per month. Additionally, there are ad revenues. In the week from July 8 to July 14, Lacy reportedly earned 58,000 dollars just from ads (source: YouTube).
In social media, Lacy’s concerns receive little sympathy. A thread in the Streaming subreddit r/LivestreamFail garnered almost 10,000 upvotes and over 1,000 comments.
Several viewers point out that the streamer’s room is large enough to produce an echo when he speaks. He should just move – or not leave FaZe Clan if he wants to continue living in luxury for free.
One user quips: “Even a postal worker could afford 20,000 a month.” This is likely a reference to a previous statement by Lacy, in which he mentioned he could have become a postal worker if he was only earning 1,900 euros per day.
