The well-known Twitch streamer TimTheTatman ended up in a match in CoD Warzone in the Gulag. When he wanted to demonstrate his cool skills in a duel, a rock got in his way.
What happens in the Gulags of Warzone? In the Battle Royale mode of CoD WM, players who have been shot down in combat can fight for a second chance.
They end up in prison and must ultimately face another player in a duel. If they manage to win, they are freed and can jump back into the Battle Royale. If you lose, it’s the end of the match.
Exactly this happened to the well-known streamer Timothy “TimTheTatman” Betar.
What did TimTheTatman do? The Twitch streamer was playing in CoD Warzone alongside two streamer colleagues Doug “DougisRaw” Wold and Guy “Dr. Disrespect” Beahm, who actually doesn’t like Warzone.
During the stream, Tim boasted that he was really good in the Gulag fights. He would never lose when he landed there. When he was actually sent to the Gulag and it was his turn to fight, he confidently said:
I’ll show you why they call me “Gulag Gary,” Doc. Check this out.
He then took position next to a row of lockers, lay down on the ground, and placed a mine. Suddenly it exploded right in front of the streamer and blew him into the air.
Why did the mine explode? The mine did not explode by coincidence. When you land in a Gulag in Warzone, you can initially watch the duels until it’s your turn. Meanwhile, players have the option to throw rocks at their opponents.
Normally, they deal very little damage and are not lethal. But one of those thrown rocks hit the trigger of the mine and sent the streamer to oblivion.
A player on reddit even took out both fighters at once.
The embarrassing death of the streamer was, of course, immediately immortalized in a clip. He took his defeat with humor and laughed about it.
