New World is one of Asmongold’s favorite MMORPGs. The streamer, who is mainly known for WoW, regularly checks in on Amazon’s game. However, in his last livestream, he had quite a bit of trouble searching for a group.
What happened to the streamer? Asmongold just wanted to play the dungeon “The Depths.” However, he needs 4 more players for that. He himself took on the role of the tank and had one DPS ready. Now he was only missing a healer and two more DPS.
However, even after more than 15 minutes of waiting, no additional player signed up. For the Twitch streamer, this is a rather unusual sight, as he usually can’t escape from being wanted to play with by viewers.
He complains irritably:

New World has problems when searching for dungeons in medium difficulty – But the fix is coming
Why is he having the problem? New World released its latest update with the first raid boss on July 6th. This slightly boosted the player count. On three consecutive days, the MMORPG surpassed the mark of 25,000 concurrent players. Even at the low points, there are always at least 10,000 people online.
So there is not a real player shortage. However, Asmongold wanted to play the dungeon at the difficulty “Mutation 7.” While the normal dungeons and mutations 1, 2, 3, and 10 are quite well attended, it is difficult to find groups for the medium difficulty levels. After all, those who can master the high ones and thus receive better rewards rarely step down a level.
Moreover, the Twitch streamer played at 4 AM. At that time, there were probably only about 400 to 500 people online on his server, spread across various activities. Some probably also tried their hand at the new raid.
How is New World addressing the problem? Despite the fact that the external circumstances likely led to the long waiting time for Asmongold, the issue of group searching cannot be denied. However, Amazon is already working on a solution.
According to the roadmap, the cross-server dungeons and PvP arenas are set to come with the update in the fourth quarter. After that, it will be significantly easier to find fellow players even for niche runs.
