The Twitch streamer Nadeshot explains that he is afraid of Ubisoft’s new shooter “Hyper Scape“. Is the 27-year-old too slow for the BR game?
What’s going on with Hyper Scape? On July 12, the open beta of Ubisoft’s new fast BR shooter started. The game is set in a futuristic city that is gradually being destroyed. One of the game’s features is that the gameplay is “fast” and players move a lot, high, and often. In summary, this results in a fast BR shooter with a lot of action.
What concerns the streamer? These features likely worry the FPS veteran Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag. The tactical aspect, known from other games in the genre, takes a backseat here. What’s important in Hyper Scape is to stay in motion and plan your next steps or jumps in advance. At times, you shoot upwards quickly to reposition yourself. Other abilities make you particularly fast, which is crucial.
Nadeshot has not played a round of Hyper Scape yet. But he has already watched some Twitch streams, including from Fortnite pro Tfue.
In a conversation with CouRage and Neekolul from the 100 Thieves team, Nadeshot talks about his concerns regarding the game. The streamer is a former professional CoD player. “I have been playing FPS games since I was a child. And I am afraid of this game,” he jokes about the fast Hyper Scape.

“Let me say this… I have no idea how the hell I am supposed to play this game. I am 27 years old and I feel very slow at my keyboard and mouse.” Currently, Hyper Scape is only available on PC – a release on PS4 and Xbox One is planned for later this year.
For the FPS veteran, this is a cause for concern, as “there is no aim assist for keyboard and mouse. Everyone is floating in the air.”
Nadeshot further comments: “I feel like I would need 50 mg of Adderall flowing through my veins to play this game. And I don’t even take Adderall. I would need five Red Bulls just to understand a part of the movement that is happening right now.”
Also in Germany, similar medication has been a problem for years. Here, students use Ritalin (with very similar effects) to get through tough exam phases and to be able to study more concentrated (via faz.net).
