On Saturday, July 2, the famous YouTuber and Twitch streamer Trymacs hosted a football event. He assembled a team himself and played against Knossi and his team. The match was a huge success, both in terms of numbers and overall entertainment value.
What kind of event was it? After Trymacs’ big boxing event, there was a new sports event on Saturday. The two Twitch streamers Trymacs and Knossi each assembled a football team and then faced off against each other in a match.
In the teams were other streamers and YouTubers, celebrities like Steven Gätjen and football players from the local league.
The game turned into a huge spectacle, also because the streamers had thought up some special rules:
- Three halves were played, each lasting 30 minutes. This gave the streamers a bit more break during the match.
- During the breaks, there were various challenges. For example, 3 celebrities played against 50 kids for a short time, and the celebrities were mercilessly outplayed.
- Despite a clear victory, there was a penalty shootout at the end – just for fun.
Knossi and his team managed to win the regular match, while the penalty shootout went to Trymacs. Both have already promised a rematch, which is to take place in winter.
Who participated in the event? In addition to streamers Trymacs and Knossi, other well-known personalities from Twitch and YouTube were present, including EilasN97 – the currently largest German streamer, MontanaBlack, Aaron Troschke, Inscope21, and UnsympathischTV.
Several celebrities were also present, including Steven Gätjen, Pietro Lombardi, Gustav Schäfer (the drummer of Tokio Hotel), and Olivia Jones.

Six goals and three injured players
How did the match go? The ball was kicked off at 17:04. The game was commented on by Robby Hunke, who also works for Sportschau.
For long stretches, the match was mainly carried by the local league players. They were significantly fitter and technically stronger than the YouTubers, streamers, and celebrities.
However, Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris stood out positively in goal for Trymacs. He had several good saves, so he was also referred to as Marcel Neuer in the Twitch chat. Nevertheless, he could not prevent his team’s loss.
Although Trymacs’ team took the lead first and maintained it through the first halftime break. But in the second half, the equalizer and the lead for Knossi’s team were achieved. In the end, Knossi and his team won 4:2.
However, there were also unpleasant scenes during the game:
- Still in the first half, Filip Pavlović got injured. He sustained a muscle tear in his thigh.
- In the second half, Steven Gätjen got hurt. He injured his ankle, but nothing was broken.
- In the third half, Paul from Team Trymacs got injured. He sustained a shoulder injury.
What challenges were there? During the first half-time break, there was a crossbar challenge. An audience member won together with Pietro Lombardi and received a jersey signed by Luka Modrić.
During the second half-time break, Knossi, Dave, and Fritz Meinecke played against 50 kids. The kids won clearly with 7:0.
At the end of the match, there was also a penalty shootout. The team of Trymacs won it 4:1.
Over 140,000 simultaneous viewers
How was the event received? During the football game, over 140,000 people watched simultaneously on Trymacs’ Twitch channel at peak time. This made the event the livestream with the most viewers worldwide on Saturday. It also surpassed shoutcasts for the LEC in LoL, Rocket League, and Summer Games Done Quick.
Over the entire four hours, the event averaged over 104,000 viewers (via Sullygnome). This is also rank 1 on Saturday and rank 3 in the last 7 days. Later, Knossi also hosted an “Aftershow Stream” with 68,550 peak viewers.
Additionally, there were hundreds of spectators on site and a lot of positive feedback in the comments. So it’s hardly surprising that both streamers are already planning a rematch.
For Trymacs, however, the topic of football is taking on even larger dimensions. His team is supposed to regularly play in the Kreisklasse B, with mostly the same squad. He has already promised vlogs from the training and livestreams of the matches.
What do you think about this event? Did you follow the match or are you not interested in football?
Besides the football event, Trymacs is currently also doing great things in the game Clash of Clans. Because he is currently destroying it with his community:
