In a stream on Twitch with LetsHugoTV, Papaplatte spoke about his attitude towards money, emphasizing that financial success is not as important to him as it used to be.
The Twitch streamer Papaplatte has become increasingly successful in recent years. He now averages over 30,000 viewers (via Sullygnome).
His immense success was also evident at the Streamawards 2023, where he won nine awards. Furthermore, Papaplatte held his own event at the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen with the Motor Games 2024 at the beginning of this year.
HandOfBlood is also among the successful streamers and YouTubers:
The focus is on just having fun
How did the topic come up? In a past stream, a clip of which was posted on TikTok on February 2nd, Papaplatte speaks with his streaming colleague LetsHugo about financial income.
LetsHugo states that 50,000 euros a month would still not be enough for him – but then laughs and says that this was a joke.
Why is money not important to him anymore? Papaplatte responds that there was a time when he really thought that way and that he often considered how he could earn even more in the past. That has changed now:
I had a phase like that too, where I thought that money was still more important to me. […] I used to think a lot more about how to earn more money. […] Now I just want to make sure that I have a lot of fun with the things I do.
In response, LetsHugo says that Papaplatte already has “a lot of money.” Papaplatte replies:
I think it’s just that at some point I was making like 20K a month or so and thought it would be sick to make 50K a month. Then I eventually made 50K or more. My life changed 0%. Really 0%. The only thing that changes is that I can set aside even more.
He has no plans to put “3 Lambos” in front of his door. Financially, he has achieved all the goals he wanted to achieve.

This is how the community reacts: Under the clip on TikTok, the community is divided. While one side seems pleased that Papaplatte finds it more important to have fun with what he does, the other side feels differently about it.
Some criticize that the words chosen by Papaplatte are easy to say when one does not have money worries:
- hypnoticmuscles writes:
“It has changed 0%”, except that I could set aside the annual salary of normal earners
- guesdt6 comments: “Of course, when you have enough in real estate, stocks, and other investments, you don’t care about money because you know you’re set.”
- _josch_x remarks:
Sure, it’s not the same anymore since now he’s getting 50-60k
