Twitter explodes: A hacker is said to have released around 125 GB of data from Twitch. This allegedly includes the earnings of the 100 top streamers on the platform. They are said to earn amounts that many dream of.
Update from October 6 at 6:30 PM: Meanwhile, Twitch has commented on the issue and confirmed an attack.
What happened? A few moments ago, an anonymous hacker released a large amount of data that he supposedly stole from Twitch. Anyone can download and store it as a torrent. The leaker also explains that this huge leak is just the beginning, and further information will follow. Some users on Twitter also claim that passwords are included in the files, but this has not been confirmed (via Twitter.com).
The first part of the leak contains the following:

- Unreleased Steam competitor named “Vapor”
- Hacking tools intended for Twitch’s security team

The hacker shows: Twitch stars earn huge sums
This is what the list shows: The list of payments to streamers reveals primarily the earnings from subscriptions. It does not include donations or sponsorships. Nevertheless, some of the biggest streamers, like xQc, apparently manage to earn over 650,000 € in one month.

And according to the list, that’s only in 17th place. Some streamers are said to earn up to 9.1 million euros in a year – with Cirtical Role being a group.
