The Twitch streamer Stormfall33 was playing the stealth game Hitman 3, without realizing that the true killer was already in her room: Her cat Momo quickly took care of her progress.
What did the cat do? The Twitch streamer “Stormfall33” had just been nearly 3 hours deep into a run in Hitman 3’s freelancer mode. She paused the game to read messages in her chat when her cat Momo walked across her keyboard.
In doing so, the kitty managed to press just the right keys to end the run and nullify the entire 3 hours of progress.
What’s the problem? The freelancer mode was added earlier this year as a free update to Hitman 3 and gives the game a roguelike component. In 8 consecutive missions, the leaders of 4 criminal syndicates must be eliminated.
In freelancer mode, every decision must be carefully weighed: Optional challenges promise additional loot, but they also come with a lot of risks. To successfully complete a run, one must meticulously manage their resources (via YouTube).
If a mission fails – or the cat walks across the keyboard – one has to start all over again.
Cat proves to be the final boss
How does the streamer react? When Stormfall33 sees the start menu light up on her screen, she takes a moment to realize what just happened.
When she becomes aware of the full extent, she groans and frustratedly bangs on the table before telling her cat to get lost and shut up.

Particularly shocked seems the streamer to be by the precision with which Momo acts: It almost seemed – fitting the game’s theme – like a well-thought-out attack on the streamer’s progress.
He literally stepped on my escape key and pressed the enter key. He closed my game. He left the mission! How did you do that?
Ultimately, the streamer took it all in stride, gritted her teeth, and started a new run.
Many cat owners have always somehow suspected that behind the fluffy facade lurks a ruthless killer.
A gamer realized this at the latest when his house cat dismantled his setup in his absence. Desperately, he turned to the community. There it was said: Owners should finally teach their cats some manners.
