The Fortnite pro Cody “Clix” Conrad (14) has received a ban on Twitch. He streamed Fortnite with another streamer who is permanently banned from Twitch. The player “Zayn” bets money and is now like a “poisoned apple”.
Why was Clix banned? The 14-year-old Fortnite pro Clix was banned even though he did nothing wrong. However, he streamed together with the player Zayne on Twitch. This player has been permanently banned from Twitch – thus, no streamer is allowed to play with him. This violates Twitch’s rules.
Clix had taken some precautions, as dotesports reports: He had muted Zayn. But that didn’t help him.

This is now the ban: Clix has been banned from Twitch for a week. He misses the chance to stream week 3 of the Platform Solo Cups in Fortnite on Twitch, where he has recently excelled.
Zayn – Player bets money in Fortnite
Why was Zayn banned? The player “Zayn” calls himself the “#1 Wagerer in the World”, who plays Fortnite for money and makes unofficial bets.
Zayn’s Twitter account indicates that these are bets like “2vs2 for $1000” against well-known Fortnite stars like Mongraal.
Zayn was permanently banned from Twitch on October 29 because he received his 3rd strike. The 3rd strike was for evading an existing Twitch ban.
Zayn himself insists on Twitter that he is innocent. He believes it is clear: Twitch doesn’t want him on the platform.
Dealing with Zayn on Twitch is dangerous
This annoys Clix: Clix complains that he was banned for 7 days while the player “Khanada” was only banned for 3 days. Khanada was banned for the exact same reason, as he also played with Zayn.
Khanada was banned for 3 days, even though he claims he had muted Zayn.
The player Khanada is part of the team around superstar Tfue and thus misses the opportunity to stream on short notice.
Clix cannot understand why Khanada was banned for only 3 days, while he was banned for exactly the same offense for 7 days.
Twitch is apparently cracking down on “money betting” in Fortnite
What is behind this? It seems that Twitch is actively combating “money betting in Fortnite” here. Because Zayn’s Twitter account explicitly mentions the two streamers Clix and Khanada in connection with money betting.
This also explains why they are taking the risk of playing with Zayn despite fearing consequences.
This “players gamble for money and bet” is a kind of “dark side” of eSports. This is also known among other professional athletes. They do not bet for money, but for the thrill.
This also seems to be common among very young Fortnite players, as they seek direct duels and want to raise the excitement through money betting.
It is quite possible that Twitch is specifically cracking down on this and wants to set an example. Apparently, they do not want such things on their platform.
